Will County Democratic Party -- Reorganization Convention

In accordance with Illinois statute [10 ILCS 5/7-9(a)], the Will County Democratic Party shall meet and hold a convention to elect its Chair and other officers, as prescribed by its by-laws, for the next two years.

Only precinct committeemen who were elected in the February 2, 2010 Democratic Primacy (both those whose names were on the ballot and those who were write-ins) shall be eligible to vote. Appointed precinct committeemen shall not be eligible to vote.

The number of votes that each committeemen may vote shall be determined by the Will County Clerk and shall equal the number of Democratic Primary ballots caste in each committeemen’s precinct. A majority of votes caste shall be necessary to elect each officer.
